Egypt and Mesopotamian art have many similarities and differences. While Egypt had mostly art about their gods, Mesopotamia had art about their rulers. Also Mesopotamia has artwork that had symmetry like ‘Master of Animals’ painting. In Egyptian artwork, they show how much they devote their time to their gods with their language. Although their artwork is pretty similar, like how their sculptures have the same art style. Both sculptures have with their head, eye, and body, like how the Statue of Gudea and Block Statue of Pa-Ankh-Ra. The only difference I can see is that the Mesopotamian art has more symmetry than Egyptian art, and Egyptian art has more of their language in them. Sorry for being a bit late on this, it has been a hard time getting in the mind to write and do homework

Egypt had many relations with their gods. In their art they showed man (and woman) worshiping their gods. Some of the art is gift giving and making their god the highest rank. Other art pieces show that the Egyptian men would build shrines and temples around the sacred place where the gods were seen. Also the artwork shows that the gods were seen in their human form most of the time. The human form of the gods were the only form that they saw them occasionally. And then there is Anubis, the god that watches over the dead. Anubis he was depicted as human body with a jackal head. Anubis was drawn in many arts to watch over the dying people. Anubis was mostly depicted in emperor’s art work. I know I am a bit late to this, it has been a hard time getting in the right mind to write.

I don’t think people made those art out abstract. The Lascaux painting were most likely painted of events that were going on or stories of the people have had. I feel like they created artwork to preserve events. I don’t think very much of them created art out of abstract until later.

I feel like the artworks of the prehistoric era has the same role and function as does art today. We want to preserve what we feel like is important to us and so we made art out of it. Also with the creation of art we get to see what people like. Since art is something that can last a long time we can see and value the art from people long ago. As we know, people aren’t happy with bland, boring stuff. People want to add flare, and colors. Life is too boring without art or design.

1} “Art is work.” – Frank Albinder
I partially agree with this because art takes a lot of time and effort to make. Working hard definitely can make art. To some people it’s their job to make art. they make a living off of it. Without art people will have nothing, because art is how we show affection. Art can take us out of reality and give us creativity of our own world. We need to work for it though. That is how some people feel about art and I agree with it.
“Art is a constant struggle.” -Carmen Aiello
I disagree with this because art can become natural. Once you get in the flow it seems easier. I’ve been in the Pavva Inupiaq Dancers for 20 years. since I was a baby. At first I had struggles but once I practiced more it got easier.
    2} Art History
Art history is the study of art from long ago possibly in their natural place. We study art history to experience what humanity was long ago. We experience the evolution throughout the centuries.
