jlchamberlainKeymasterYou got it, Valene! The exaggerations were not necessarily intended to be abstractions rather to highlight importance. By todays standards we might simply perceive the artists liberties as abstractions, but who is really to say of that was the intent?
jlchamberlainKeymasterRaven, you are right on. The vast majority of prehistoric art was focused on interpretation of surroundings and exaggerating the most important features or aspects what was being portrayed.
