Slack channel #week8part1
- Roman art and architecture is in many ways a continuation of the styles and techniques from the Greek and Etruscan cultures. How are Greek and Etruscan influences evident in Roman art from the Republican and Early Empire eras? Use examples from the museum wings.
Slack channel #week8part2
- Choose a work from this week’s unit that you found particularly interesting, and tell us why. Include details about the work’s history and purpose.
GRANT PROPOSAL #2 DUE OCTOBER 30TH BY 11:59PM
Call For Proposals
The Doctor Jones Institute of Lost Treasure is asking for proposals to include a new work of art in the museum. The Institute has noticed that there is room in the following wings: Ancient Greece, the Etruscans, and Roman Art. What work (that is not already discussed as part of the class) do you think deserves to be included in the museum halls? Tell us why you think it is so important. How does it fit in with the other works in the wing? How does it expand our understanding of Ancient Greece, the Etruscans, and Roman Art?
Please follow the instructions under the tab Course Documents -> Grant Proposals to submit your entries. All proposals are due by 11:59pm on Sunday, October 30th. Remember, there are examples on the website. 🙂
